History:
Wolf form--
He doesn't usually have the dirt marks, mind you.
Vincent was born to what might be considered a royal family. His father was Alpha Werewolf before him, and so was his grandfather. He showed no signs of being a leader when he was young, what with his clumsy way of walking and slurred words, but his parents saw to that. For the first seventeen years of his life he spent hours of vigorous training in both speech and strength, and was taught by one of the area's finest tutors. At first, he made little progress, as he wasn't used to working twelve hours a day. It wasn't too long until he got used to it, though, and soon he was strong in mind and body.Personality:
When he was talented enough for his parent's liking, they let him do as he wished, giving him free reign of the mansion that they lived in. He took immediate advantage of this, and lived life at it's fullest, what he thought was it;s fullest, of course. He had never, in his entire life, interacted with anyone other than his parents or tutor. This all changed when his parents died.
It happened on a warm Spring evening, when his parents had gone out for the night. Vincent was playing chess against himself, when he heard a knock on the front door. Unaware that it could be anyone other than his caretakers, he promptly answered it. What seemed to be the entire police force were standing on the large white staircase, and they all tried to tell him at once that the owners of the house had been in a car accident, and that the property was his now. They were humans. They had no idea what 'owning the property' meant.
The start of his leadership wasn't a magnificent one. He kept to himself, often ignoring the letters that he received and desperately trying to hide himself away from the rest of the world. It hadn't been so long ago when he didn't know that werewolves other than the ones in his family existed, and now they were contacting him, trying to meet him. It was terrifying. He had no idea what his father had done every day that he had been training, and no idea how hard it was. Heck, he hadn't even been aware what being 'leader' really meant. Sure, he knew that he was destined to be one, but what it meant... that was a different matter. It wasn't like his parents had ever told him anything about the position- none of them had known that he was to become Alpha at eighteen.
Eventually, after months of struggling, he managed to get a hold on his job. Perhaps what gave him courage was the discovery of the diamond bows. He was well practiced in the art of archery, and the arrows, found in his immense attic, were a comfort- something that let him get away from his regular routine. It calmed him to hear the satisfying twang as the arrow hit it's mark, which was usually a tree of sorts. It is this simple pleasure that keeps him going, and stops him from abandoning the huge mansion that he lives in.
Vicious.
Hurt his pride, and whatever friendship you might have had is gone. He can go from being perfectly friendly to aloof, cold, and sarcastic in a matter of seconds. Once he's in that mood, there's no going back. He hardly ever pays heed to an apology, let alone accept one. In his mind's eye, there is nothing that he could possibly do wrong. This view was only taken recently, and has acted as an immense confidence booster. He is less likely to let this aspect of his personality take over when he is with a werewolf, especially a female.
Intelligent.
There isn't a word in the dictionary that he doesn't know the meaning of, and no math problem that he can't solve. However, there is a difference between knowledge and wisdom. His conscience doesn't work as well as his mind does, and he often lacks better judgement. This is a handicap when it comes to leadership, and sometimes decisions that he has to make are overwhelming to the point that he abandons them completely.
Negative.
Let's just say that he certainly isn't an Optimist. When addressing a problem, he is sure to list all of the bad things that could possibly happen, and ways that they could be prevented. This can be annoying and dismal to some, but it can be helpful, especially if he is faced with a serious, risky decision.
Caring.
Once you get to know him, he can be very compassionate and kind, if not a little insecure. He has an urge to please, probably generated by the proud looks that he received from his parents when he was young. If he befriends someone, he will, in almost all situations, lay down his life or them. all of the above only applies if he has gained your trust, however.
Empathetic.
He has the uncanny ability to understand how others feel and why, when and if they tell a tale or express anger or sorrow. This doesn't mean that he will always have the impulse to comfort or help them- it depends how he feels towards the person in question, and what species they are.
Nimble.
He is extremely fast on his feet, in both human and wolf form. If a passerby were to see the graceful way he moved around, especially in his own home, they never would guess that he had been extremely clumsy throughout a good chunk of his childhood. It is rare for him to miss a catch, or stumble over words when speaking.
Talkative.
Though he never says anything that he doesn't find inappropriate, he does talk a lot. If you let him be, he will drone on about any given subject for hours on end, even doing so by himself at times.
