Claire clicked her star decorated pen. It had been a gift from her father, the father that never saved her when she needed him most. The small silver pen grew to the size of a sword. Half the blade was celestial bronze, the other half was stainless steel. Claire glared at the practice dummies in front of her. Quick like lightning, she slashed and stabbed. She took down 5 out of the 6 in that manner. The last Claire held out her palm and a jolt of electricity shot away from her. It the dummy, which burst into flames.
Joy, the one times I could use the company of a Poseidon camper... Claire thought with annoyance. She tromped over to the well and filled bucket. Swiftly, she slipped back to the flaming dummy and she doused it with water. Claire would have preferred to watch the stuffing and fabric burn to ashes, but the camp had it's rules and Claire didn't want Mr. D's wrath...
Claire searched the Arena for a demigod to spar with, but it appeared that she was early. Then she'd wait. Claire nestled herself amid the remains of her dummies and stared at the sky with sad brown eyes.

You think it’s all just a game, that I’m playin’… *------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------* She was bored out of her tears and wanted something to do. She wasn't really feeling in the mood for tricks at the moment, and for once wasn't inspired for any, which surprised her. She figured that she would make use of the early morning and get a bit pf practice in before any of the other campers woke up and ruined the perfectly dull, drab, and boring morning. She gave a sigh and glared up at the clear sky, then grabbed her two knives in their sheaths, hooked them to her belt, and wandered over to the arena. She really wasn't expecting anyone to be there in the earlyness, and was startled to find another girl, roughly her age, lying amidst a pile of destroyed, and smoldering dummies.
She laughed quietly to herself at the smoldering part and guessed that she had somehow lit one on fire, though she was wary to find out how and or why. She stepped quietly and spoke just as softly, "Oh, I'm sorry if I'm disturbing your... Peace, but I didn't think that anyone would be here this early." She paused, hoping to be able to use some dummies herself, but only if she didn't disturb the girl too much. She must've been sick or something, her? Worried about causing discord by disturbing someones peace? She shuddered at the thought and wondered if her mother was having a heart attack at that moment. *------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------*------* But if you wanna’ have a go… I just wanna’ let you know…..

Claire's gazed snapped away from the sky as a voice sounded. She found herself staring at a girl, and she was unaware of who she actually was. Claire couldn't reconize her parent, and she prided herself on her ability to locate and guess. The brown haired demigod reached for her sword. "You didn't disturb me," she said with a welcoming voice.
Claire paced toward another set of 6 dummies. Gonna keep the electricity a secret this time, she thought. Quick as a flash, Claire parried and slashed. Within the moment all six dummies laid on the ground in a stuffing heap. Actually, that was kind of boring... she thought. Then she had an idea.
Claire walked over to the new demigod, her yellow shirt looking bright in the rising sun. Almost like another sun itself. That's what children of Zeus did. They almost always wore yellows and pale blues, anything that resembles the sky. She looked directly at the girl. Her brown eyes matching the girl's blue. "The name's Claire," she said, extending a hand. "Want to spar?"

Demarco stood out of site with his arms crossed watching the two. He was dressed in his old army green shorts, leather sandals, and even had his metal helm and shield he made. He looked as if he was more prepared for combat than training but to him it was all the same. He was armed in his handmade steel half spears and short swords but the long rucksack on his back held all his training equipment. He was going to follow the Daughter of Eris into the fields hoping for either for a spar or training but since he heard the presence of another he felt it would be a good time to learn about his fellow campers and what they could do.
He didn't fear being caught so he casually stood in the shadow of the stands so he would not be detected, but just out enough so he could see the two in battle.
