She is brilliant at creating music. She can play almost any instrument and sing almost any song, but is definitely the best at creating music in general. She can use a sword, and has one that was a gift from her mom her last birthday. She is best with bows and arrows for her weapons though. She has a great variety of first aid knowledge based off of herbs and the like, but still has healing magic. Based off her namesake she has gained a small portion of her father’s oracle ability, but very small comparatively to the Oracle herself, and she can’t control when she uses it or not. After telling the future she blacks out for up to a day, and can’t remember what she said. For some reason, the sun doesn’t affect her skin the way it does most, it just makes her happy and glowy and bouncy.Description:
Play-by: Alyson Hannigan
She took after her mother in that she gained her red hair, and pale skin. She is of a decent height and decent weight, a little on the thin side, and has no freckles. Her eyes betray her father, being a golden brown rather than her mother’s green. She keeps her hair short and almost always messy because she thinks it looks better, and because it’s easier to shoot a bow without long hair. She has an almost athletic look about her, but not a very muscular one. She always has a playful smirk on her face and a mischievous sparkle in her eyes, making some believe she was sired by Hermes. While she is from Alabama, she rarely slips into an Alabaman accent, and when she does its usually when she is very, very excited.
History:
Being born to a mother who was most definitely Irish, and an unknown father, she had a lot of teasing as a child in school. Add on top of that that she was a major flirt as she got older, and you get a recipe for trouble. She was seen, because of her unknown father and the way her mother jumped from guy to guy, as the school slut as soon as she reached middle school. How they got that from her, she had no idea; she had never even kissed a guy in her life, let alone go further with them. She was never placed into boarding schools, rather going to public school for her entire school life.Personality:
She grew up in a small town in the north west of Alabama called Sulligent, where they have two stop lights, the closest large store is a Wal-Mart 45 minutes away, and the high school has a definite rival in their neighboring town, Vernon. Her mom was always looked at as a specialty due to her still retaining her Irish accent in such a southern town, and had many a wife mad at their husbands when she went out and about with Cassie. Cassie herself would get teased, poked and prodded at when she went out, and so she decided it was better to stay on her mother’s property most of the time.
About the time she turned seven, she ran into her first creature from her father’s side of the family, unbeknown to her at the time. She had been out and about in the woods, playing her guitar one of the Hankins boys had given her as a present for her most recent birthday, one that was much too big for her, and she came across a centaur. Not one of the pretty ones from the Narnia books, but a rowdy, smelly, and crazy thing that was definitely a colt, though still much taller than her. It seems that he had been drawn to her music, away from his dam, and was curious as to how she could see him, and then he scared her by being a wild and rowdy thing, making her flee back to her mom with tears in her eyes. When she told of the creature she had seen her mother’s heart almost stopped, and she told her to think nothing more of it. Which she didn’t.
The next time she ran into a member of her father’s side of the family, she came stumbling across a young gray wolf that had found his way into a bear trap, and was in quite a bit of pain. Rather than being terrified, she because curious, and scared for its life, and decided to help him, pulling the stake up from the base of the tree and doing her best to carry the poor thing back to her mother’s house. Now, this was when she was eleven, which shocked her mother into a faint so bad that it took the girl about a half hour to pull her up from. When her mom finally awoke she ushered the girl and her new charge into the kitchen, which was when she learned how to heal an animal with first aid, rather than her magic, which looking back at it she was sure had helped. That young wolf decided that it wanted to stay with her, much to her mother’s dismay, and her delightful surprise.
Two and a half years later, she and the wolf were out in the forest, him hunting and her writing in one of the many books she had full of music, when her father came to her. The canine had sensed him coming and had rushed back to his friends side, whining in a high tone and wagging his fluffy tail in the dirt, obviously excited. She couldn’t figure out the reason why until a boy, seemingly much older than her in her eyes at the time, came into her clearing with a flashing smile and the weirdest sense of humor she had ever heard. He couldn’t stop reciting bad poetry, which made her rather uneasy, and very much so wanting to correct him. When he finally spoke up as to why he was there she was shocked. How could he be her father? He assured her that he was, and gave her a present, an early thirteenth birthday present. He had given her a long bow that was made of a very springy and golden shaded wood, a bow that was much to tall for her, yet she could string and draw perfectly. Leaving her with the bow, a quiver, and a golden sun charm bracelet with two spaces missing within the main sun charm, he left, and she hasn’t seen nor heard from him since. Though she feels that smile and the weird sense of goofyness when in the sun.
When she went home after meeting her dad she was in a daze, she felt very much so bewildered and confused. Her mother cleared it all up for her as best as she could, and told her about the camp she had the ability to go to. It was only when a hellhound came one night when she was fifteen and ransacked her house, killing her mom, the wolf, and leaving her with a nasty fear of dogs did she arrive at the camp in the middle of winter, an arm broken in a sling and a terrible concussion. Since then she has found her place among the campers, though feels a little left out when she has to stay at camp and those who have families can go home.
She is a very flirty girl, and besides the tragedy that brought her to camp a cheerful person. She feels very fondly for canines that aren’t dogs, and has a nasty tendency to risk her neck for them. She is bouncy all the time, though feels less so when the sun is down, and will always try to lift ones spirits either by singing a silly song or talking and listening, While her ADHD isn’t as bad as some, she still has a small issue with sitting and listening, but she does her best, really she does. She always feels like a little ball of energy, and is like a terrier in that she will never give up in a chase. Once she has her goals set, she will stop at nothing to achieve them, even if it takes her a while to do so. She has yet to fall in love, and really prefers flirting and teasing to finding the real thing, and does her best to tease and flirt with those she knows it would annoy the most, those who have quick tempers, feeling that those are the most fun to do so. She gets embarresed when she slips into her accent, and will usually cover her mouth blushing furiously, hating it when she does. (she prides herself for not sounding like the Alabaman’s)Role-Playing Sample:
