Demarco waited till Mia gave her response then he started back in to his plan. A wicked grin slowly came across his face as he heard the response of the rest, just the kind he wanted. He liked what Claire said the most because he didn't want to stand around and wait either.
"Now when the three scouts find the location of the flag then they return to the border where Claire, Cameron, and I will be. We will be spread out but still within earshot of one another. We will make sure no one crosses the line by any means necessary.” He made three marks with the tip of his spear as if to represent 3 people spread out across the border.
“Now with us being spread out there is a chance that we could be overwhelmed and then when one of us moves someone could sneak past the opening if Claire and I take far left or right that will mean that you Cameron take center. At the moment we are surrounded by snow and water, which means you have a major upper hand in defense so you could reach either of us quicker if help is necessary. Can you manipulate the snow as well Cameron?”
He felt that rush again it had been awhile since he ran a battle plan. “Hopefully by the time their flag is found most of our opponents will be immobile or at least sent back to their base, which will leave us clear for a short time.”
He considered Aspens comment for a moment. “That makes sense if you stay in the defensive to help Carwyn defend the flag in whatever manner you can.” He stopped and looked to Carwyn with a smile somewhat getting the sense that he wanted to be on the side lines, but quickly returned to his map.
“The two scouts that come with us will take over our positions while Cameron, Claire, and I advance forward.” He stopped in thought for a moment as he stared at the snow. Without looking up he spoke, “If any of our three scouts find the flag and it is unprotected take advantage of that opportunity and return.” He looked up over at Carwyn.
“I ask you only to stay here at the base, if in the unlikely chance someone does get past our lines then I want someone here who could impede the hell out of them or stop them completely and along with the assistance of whichever daughter of the forest joins you it should be quite easy. But as a child of Aphrodite you have some sort of power over emotions?” more as a question than anything but he was going to wait and finish before he got an answer.
He stopped for a moment considering all the opponents, then began to speak up again, “don’t forget they have a hunter, a daughter of Discord, a siren, son of Mania, a son of Hades, and two children of Apollo, one of them can manipulate water as well.”
He paused looking at his plans then back at everyone else. “That means traps of all kinds from the daughter of discord. All of us need to keep our eyes and ears open for the ranged attackers, but with the siren and the son of mania we need to think quickly. The son of Hades has powers over the dead so we must keep on out toes for whatever he throws out as well. I have no fear for our three scouts here because I hope they will stay out of sight in general, but the offensive group we need temporary ways to distract our minds and hearing.” Leaving the two to think of their own ways they could perform that action.
He took a deep breath and smiled, “any questions?” His voice sounded excited, the lust for battle fresh in his joyful voice, almost like he was taking this a bit to seriously. His physical stature showed one ready to rush into battle head long. OCC: sorry about the long post i really got into it ;D

Claire liked the idea of standing on the water border better then waiting at the base. She felt more useful that way. Plus, water conducted electricity extremely well. She smiled a prepared and wicked smile. While water did in fact conduct electricity, in the process, the water always emerged unharmed. Cameron would perfectly fine when she zapped the liquid. "Yea, you'd better stay out of the water," Claire told the Ares camper. Cameron would be unharmed, but Demarco wouldn't have the same lee-way. Claire pulled her star-charmed pen out of her pocket and gave it a click. The pen grew to that of a sword, half celestial bronze, half steel. She was prepared, armed with a sword that was capable of harming both mortal and monster.
Claire felt a tingling in her fingers as the electricity grew. She allowed some of it to dance along the length of her blade. Electricity escaping into the air off the tip. A painful and powerful feature that she was able to add to her sword. "I say they can bring it, but it won't do them no good. We have the advantage."
Zi grinned giddily. She was excited. But there was one preparation that she needed to do. A little extra help for the two defending the flag. Still sitting on the ground, Zi place an ivory colored hand on the ground. Life flowed from her fingers and into the soil. Almost immediately, a collection of vines and brambles erupted from the ground, and grew over the flag. The plants created a hard prickly cage. "There," Zi said, standing. She walked over to Mia, the girl in black, and waited for the call to begin.
Cameron glanced at the plans on the ground. It looked good, but if the other team did in fact have a member that could control water, didn't that make his power almost worthless? Wait, Apollo can control water? Oh, it must be that "quarter plus a quarter equals a half" girl... I helped train her with the water that one day... Cameron thought. If it was the same girl, then his control would be stronger as he had more of Poseidon's blood in him. "I'll do what I can to stop the Apollo/Poseidon girl, and I ain't quite sure if I can control snow," Cameron said. "I'll try..." As he spoke, Cameron attempt to move the snow on the ground at least a little ways. It worked! I guess since snow is water, I can do it... Enjoying his new found talent, Cameron quickly made himself a snowman. "Shoot! Y'all lookie here!" he shouted, excited.

Mia nodded, I should be able to blend in with the night, but I’m not sure how long I can. That will require high concentration, which is something I don’t have. She looked up at the sky, She had no comments about the next part of the plan, it didn’t concern her much.
When he mentioned the other team might be immobilized she raised a eyebrow, “You can’t be too sure about that, It might be a good idea to have a mini plan in case we’re not in the clear.” She responded, The plan so far seemed like it was good plan, though she just had a feeling that they should have a back-up plan. It’s better to be safe then sorry; at least that was what her Grandfather had always told her.
So, Zi and I will hold there positions when the offensive advances forward… wait that makes no sense. If we’re supposed to be scouting how will we hold they’re spots? You know maybe I should just stop thinking. When he started speaking again it suddenly became clearer, Let’s not assume it will be unguarded. She told herself.
I could have sworn there was one Apollo kid and one granddaughter of Apollo. She thought, Well never mind, It doesn’t matter. We just have to remember there is the Apollidon girl we have to watch out for. The hunter and Hades kid might be problems too. The siren will be trouble too, none of us are deaf nor do we have earplugs. She held back a sigh at her thoughts before turning her attention back to the plans.
Mia listened to his warning about the powers, So in other words watch my back for what they throw at me… and don’t eat any apples. No matter how tasty they look. When he asked if there was any questions she raised her hand, “Which cabin has the flag?”
She looked at the flag in amazement when Zi created a prickly cage around the flag. That’s a good defensive, I know I wouldn’t want to touch the flag if it’s surrounded by prickles. She turned her gaze over to Cameron when he shouted. She smiled, “Sweet! It’s a snowman!” She struggled to keep herself from clapping in excitement. Carwyn easily disguised his boredom with the proceedings until Demarco mentioned his own place in the situation; he reflected the other's grin with an aloof, satisfied smile. The Ares boy might have been a bit overenthusiastic for what amounted to an incredibly elaborate children's game, but at least he knew that Carwyn would prefer to stay out of the way. At the camper's questions about his powers, he only nodded and listened to the rest of the plan. He raised an eyebrow at the electricity that sprung from Claire's sword, inwardly cringing at the thought of how painful a jab from that would be; it would probably cauterize the wounds it left. The son of Aphrodite snorted as the snowman seemed to form itself from the fallen snow, burying a snide comment that came immediately to his tongue and instead busying himself with digging an oversized hamster ball from his backpack. The air holes typically meant to keep a small rodent alive had been painstakingly plugged, and inside a dense blue smoke swirled like a living thing. "It's confusion. I have a couple in travel-size, if anyone wants one," Carwyn offered half-heartedly; that was apparently as involved as he was planning to get in the game, but he hesitated and then tacked on, "and if anyone wants it for the siren girl, I have an iPod with me - it's just about dead, but one might be able to coax five minutes out of it if they don't mind alternative." Don't take it don't take it don't take it...

Demarco smiled at the willingness of his team mates to contribute to the effort. He should have never doubted himself demigods are always ready for a battle in some way shape or form. He looked at the snow around him then looked back at Claire, “And I would recommend the same to you, I could imagine things getting chilly.” He let out a small chuckle, kind of surprised himself, but nodded to signal he understand what she meant. When Claire flicked out her sword his eyebrow raised, “do we plan to cause them harm?” his voice almost sounded like he wanted to join in with her but realizing if he was to use his own weapon he would probably get carried away. His face beamed at her comment, I am starting to like this one. “They will fall under our might.” He said in strong confidence as he hit his fist against his shield to show his enthusiasm, the shield letting out a graceful but powerful ring.
He walked over to where Zi was and nodded his head with a smile on his face “Very wise indeed Zi.” He spoke as if congratulating another soldier. Demarco watched Cameron work the snow, and he smiled, it was good to see a fellow warrior advance in skill and ability, it was always one step closer to being invincible. “That is great Cameron.”
He nodded to Carwyn “It would aid me greatly, if you have any spares then I would be glad to take one, that confusion might come in handy.” He didn’t feel the need to remind him to save some for himself. He was surprised on how giving he was, but pushed the offer of the ipod aside, he shook his head and smiled as he held up his shield, “these serve many purposes when in the right hands.”
He looked over to Mia and considered the things that she said “That is a good point I cannot be sure of it, but what things can we truly be sure of? I leave much space in my plan to make any improvising necessary to the hectic ways of this competition. No plan ever survives impact, in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if everything completely changed before it began. But I believe each of you is wise enough to make the proper actions to guarantee us a victory.” He paused studying her for a moment seeing if there was any doubt, “If you have an idea then speak up.” He spoke calmly trying not to make it seem like he was attacking her trying to remember what his mother told him about catching more flies with honey than vinegar, but he never understood why anyone would ever want to catch flies unless they wanted to kill them later. “At the moment none of us know where the flags are that’s where you and Zi come in and track it down without being noticed then returning to us with where it is or with the flag if the opportunity presents itself, but I doubt it’s not guarded.“ he finished calmly in his usual rough voice. He was eager for the horn to blow as well as this hype was great but it wouldn't stay long if they didn't start.

"Our back-up plan is grab the flag and run." Carwyn jumped a little as the blare of the horn suddenly cut through the relative silence, face reddening a little bit in embarrassment as he momentarily left the hamster ball in the tree's roots and started shifting through his backpack. After digging an extra jacket out he managed to locate one of the 'fun-sized' bottled emotions; it was some decrepit vial he'd snitched off of the cabin's vanity mirror's table, quite possibly an old perfume bottle whose top had been replaced with a simple cap, but... The demigod shook it a little and then watched with mild satisfaction as the smoke responded; 'love' would hang in the air like tinsel and envy would spread out in a smothering sheet, but confusion went right for the kill. He passed it to Demarco with an obvious warning: "Try not to inhale it once it's uncorked." Relieved that no one had taken up the offer for the iPod, he repacked it and the jacket. "You kids have fun now." Carwyn said breezily, uncharacteristically relaxed. With any luck, no one would get even close to their base.
"Jeez, did I miss the party already?" The lazy voice emerged from the left, where a teenager was making his way through the snow. "So kind of you guys to wait for me. I'm hurt, really hurt." The boy looked like a bedraggled raven that had been dipped in paint; while his clothing was predominantly black, splotches of colors made their uneven way across them. The black hoodie clearly had been dipped in paint at one point or another. His ragged-sleeved t-shirt had some band's name looping across the front in bold lettering, while his jeans were loose-fitting - for once - and had random song lyrics messily scrawled across them in multi-colored sharpies, despite their apparently new quality. A mace was in his grip as casually as someone might carry a baseball bat, and a crimson pick that had been threaded into a necklace bounced against his chest. Virgo was, for the moment, mostly jewelry free, though two miniature, neon-green dice dangled from his ears and his customary snake bite was in place. He glanced from teammate to teammate, hazel eyes glittering with enthusiasm, and when his gaze settled on Carwyn his half-smile twisted into a dramatically sinister smirk. The son of Aphrodite had a tight-lipped frown, but Virgo paid no attention to that; the mace transformed back into a thumbtack that he quickly pocketed before pouncing with a gleefully annoying shout of, "Uncle Carwyyyyy!" They wrestled a moment before Virgo planted an elbow in Carwyn's stomach; the wind temporarily knocked out of him, the son of Phobos pulled him into a headlock and dealt out what was commonly known as a 'noogie,' ignoring his protests. "So, how's my favorite uncle-slash-prettyboy?" "Get off of me and I'll show you how I am, you intolerable asshole." "Ouch. Still sore over the tarantulas? Get over it, prettyboy, it was hilarious." Finally he released the other, snickering as Carwyn ran his hands obsessively through his blonde hair in an attempt to make it behave again. "It was not -- I'm a pretty boy?" "You're the only man I know who knows how to operate a curling iron." "It's not exactly rocket science --" "Exactly." "Just because I take some pride in my personal appearance... At least I don't wear eyeliner or set off metal detectors at the airport!" Virgo grimaced at the word 'airport,' but rolled his eyes nonetheless. "Eyeliner only on special occasions, monsieur." His attention flicked back to the rest of the group, and his mouth widened into a white-toothed smile. He might have been giving off his typical 'bad vibes' - something about his presence tended to make people wary - but his enthusiasm was plain. "So, did I miss anything important? Sorry I'm late, by the way. First day back, I thought I was gonna get to sleep in a bit. " --- word count: 624 listening to: Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin
