Cameron headed towards the woods. He felt confident. His team, the North, had the defiant advantage. Of the three Big Three gods, two of them had children on Cameron's team. In fact, Cameron himself was on of them. He arrived at the North base, saw the red flag, and looked for other demigods. It looks like I'm first... he thought. Cameron shrugged and settled himself in between the roots of a tree. Waiting.
Zi headed a bee-line toward the woods. She was excited. Capture the flag was one of her favorite things to do. The only bummer was, she was on the North team, the cutie she met in the woods was on the South... But, I'll fight him if I have too, she thought. Zi would probably loose, she couldn't be expected to win against a Big Three though. She arrived nodded to the blonde boy sitting in the roots, and stood, ready.
Claire looked at herself in the mirror one more time. Her baggy white shorts looked cool and were comfortable. Good mix, she thought. She wore a blue striped tank top. One of the stripes was dark blue, like the ocean, and the other was light blue, like the sky. She walked to the door of her cabin, whisked her sunglasses off the table, and headed into the sun. She slipped them on her face, and continued on her way. Snow crunched beneath her sneakers and Claire hugged her sweatshirt around her. It was cold, but she was going to need the shorts anyway.
Word Count;; 322 Muse;; Terrible for three characters.... Outfit(Zi);; With a white sweatshirt Outfit(Claire);; With a gray sweatshirt

A maiden Fair, In Despair, Once had met, Her True Love there, And she told Him….. _________________________________________________________ She had been resting in the trees all day the past few days, listening to them to be able to know them as well as she had at home. They spoke to her of many things, and she listened intently with interest, and made a deal with those on her side. She would use the trees as scouts in a way, leaving others to be able to fight and hunt. As long as she was protected she would be fine, and they would have the perfect scout. Unseen, unheard, and definitely the most reliable. She jumped out of her tree into the next one, which was a few feet away and continued to do so, jumping from tree to tree, not every other, to gain speed quicker. She reached their base just after the blond teen and just before the raven haired girl. With a light giggle at her idea she spoke to the two, "I have a relay set up with the trees. Making them into scouts! Well, some of the best really. It should give a bit more for fighting rather than scouting our lands, they can warn when one crosses the river that doesnt have our colors, and when they reach the halfway point, which I told them about that way they can warn us through me!" she smiled and waited for others to arrive. _________________________________________________________ Promise me, When you See, A White Rose you’ll think of me, I love you So, Never let Go, I will be… Your Ghost of a Rose…….

Demarco grinned with excitement finally there was a chance for him to test his strength, speed, and cunning. He was eager to rush out into the battlefield. Some considered this a game, he thought of this as another challenge he was presented with. He hoped this game would be a worthy enough challenge.
He started by wrapping his hands and wrists in his battle bandages so he would not sprain anything, he wrapped the colors of his father on his head, then put on his leather sandals so his feet will remain unscarred though he knew that they probably wouldn’t stay on long anyways. He strapped his shield to his arm as he always did before leaving, packed up a few of his wooden half spears he made himself so he would not wound the other demigods, as well as grabbing his training short sword and strapping it to his side. He checked to make sure he had everything and made his way to the door. He stopped half way and remembered that the camp frowned upon being skyclad unlike his ancestors who found it to be brave, so he threw on a pair of old army green shorts and rushed back out to make his way to the base.
He walked out of the forest throwing a medium sized creature’s body off to the side casually. He scanned who was all on his team, he smirked slightly. He had the power of the elements on his side and he was sure that would make everything easier. A son of Poseidon, A daughter of Zeus, a daughter of Demeter, and a daughter of the forest a million strategies were running through his head. The son of Poseidon will be useful in defense of the center line with his control of water. The daughter of Zeus will make a great offensive force with him. The two daughters will be great as all around defensive, scouts, and support. He grinned but his face returned to neutrality as he stared off to the river and beyond looking for any advantages. In his rough deep voice he spoke to the rest of them “do we have a plan?” still eyeing the field but patiently waiting for a response.

Mia had smiled to herself as she got dressed in her cabin. She was wearing the leggings her sister had bought her for her birthday, the shirt and shorts her Grandparents had given her for Christmas, the awesome leather jacket her brother had bought her. She was content, it wasn’t everyday there was a Capture the Flag game. She then put on a somber face, finishing tying her shoes and sliding on her black sunglasses. She debated taking off her earrings and her necklace for a moment, before she exited her cabin.
She dashed through Camp to the Armory, grabbing her training sword, before dashing off to towards the North-team base. She knew that the other Campers would underestimate her; she was a daughter of Nyx, the daughter of a minor goddess. No one would throw her into the equation of winning, though she had no complaint. She wasn’t friends with many campers… in fact she wasn’t friends with any of the Campers. It wasn’t because she was anti-social; she just hated to be embarrassed – which happened often when she spent time with people. Just pretend this is a public speaking. She told herself, nodding. Yes, I can do this.
When she got to the base, however, she suddenly started to become nervous. There was already four or more of them there. (Mia had decided to stop counting after four.) Word Count: 245 Muse : Good Outfit 'Click

When it came to sports, Carwyn's stance on them rarely varied: if it was a solitary endeavor like archery, he'd give it a shot... when it came to playing on a team, he was content to be a benchwarmer. The son of Aphrodite trudged through the forest, burdened by a short sword at his side and a backpack, following the footsteps of others to the north. Silently, he recounted the names of his teammates' parents: dryads, Poseidon, Demeter, Zeus, Nyx, and Aries. All in all, a pretty good mix... well, better than 'good,' in all fairness: they had two out of the 'Big Three,' and their opponents were mostly minor demigods. Then again, the South also had the thieves, the psychos, and the huntresses. He would have preferred to side with Katherine, but in all fairness, what did it matter? At least he was acquainted with Cameron, as opposed to being thrown onto a team of absolute strangers. This should be fun. Carwyn's gaze flicked from the footsteps he was tracing to the trees surrounding him, many skeletal but a few pines. He'd initially been worried about leaving a clear path written in the snow to the North base, but the South would have the same disadvantage. Finally, though, the demigod reached the North Base, just in time to hear one of the boys - one of Aries' cocky sons, by the look of it - ask if there was a plan. Silently, he counted heads: one, two, three... apparently, he was the last to join in the fun. Carwyn's face flushed slightly in embarrassment, but he gave no other sign of discomfort; he pulled off his backpack and leaned against one of the bare trees at the edge of the little gathering, glancing to the side and recognizing Cameron at the roots of a neighboring tree. "Howdy," he greeted in a whisper, unable to resist making the jibe at the other's accent; there was no malice in his voice. "Ready for the showdown, pard--" halfway through the question he stopped himself abruptly, shaking his head a little in dismay. "If I ever try that again, hit me. Hard." And his sisters liked Southern accents? They must have been crazier than Mania's pack of misfits. After an awkward moment, Carwyn decided to speak up: "Did I miss anything important yet?"

Demarco nodded in response to the Son of Aphrodite's greeting, as he began to look the two newcomers up and down trying to decipher physical or mental weakness and strength between the two. He had seen none of them before which means he hasn't seen any of them in combat, which means he could be running this competition with dead weight. But he shook his head there is no way that demigods could stoop to mortal levels could they? He'd been wrong before though.
His eyebrow went up when the son broke into the southern lingo, but when he asked to be hit his eyes got wide and looked around at the other demigods. It took Demarco awhile to tell that the demigod was being sarcastic, Demarco was never really good at sarcasm taking everything a person said seriously made some things difficult it was good that he learned the difference between the two.
He grinned it was good someone was interested in what was going on "At the moment nothing. I don't think the other team has completely gathered, but I am simply going by what I see not what I know." he said in his usual rough voice. "How do we know when we start?"he spoke eagerly looking back at the field. He spoke in response to the son of Aphrodite’s question, "You have not missed a thing, we are simply gathering. It will be fortunate for you that you will get to see all the action." "But i guess there should be introductions first since everyone is here." He stood up tall as he presented himself clearly proud of his heritage. "I am Demarco Alkinoos, son of Ares God of War." he ended in a very formal manner hitting his fist against his shield letting out the slight ring of metal. He relaxed and allowed the other gods to present themselves.

A maiden Fair, In Despair, Once had met, Her True Love there, And she told Him….. _________________________________________________________ She gave the first to male to arrive after her a glance, decided that he would be to hot-headed for her to converse with, having had the advance warning from the trees. She told thee others, "Two more after this one, here in a few seconds." And right on time another female came into the space. She grinned at the trees around her and waited for the last, who came and started speaking in a n accent... Which just didn't fit the boys features. She gave him a look and then realized there was a teasing tone beneath it and she was curious as to whom he was teasing.
The... Brute she decided, started to speak once more and she watched him with intensity, when he said the comment about the other team she nodded and said quietly, "The trees tell me there are three thus far, not their trees, but ours. I refuse to use their trees because its would be unfair." she watched him as he asked his question and stated in a questioning tone, looking at the others, "Wont the conch be blown once everyone is in their places? If I'm remembering correctly...?" she listened to him in his introductions and thought to herself, Ahhh, that would explain it. I think I'll stay away from that one... Don't want to hurt myself...
She rolled her eyes slightly and stated in her thus far quiet tone, "I'm Aspen Birchly. My mother is a Dryad, and has a wicked sense of humor to name me after trees. My middle name is a tree too... It was just luck that my fathers last name is what it is..." she stepped up to one of the trees and then stepped into it, deciding to perch rather than stand around. Her form stepped out onto one of the limbs up above and she plunked herself down, turning to watch the area around them. _________________________________________________________

Cameron smiled at all people gathering. It seemed like everyone. "Well, there ain't no plan right yet, but we'll win," Cameron said in his accent. He shot a glare at Carwyn, who had been poking fun at his accent. Cameron was born with that, it wasn't his fault. "Howdy, ya'll call me Cameron Merlot, son o' Poseidon, god o' th' sea." Cameron smiled at that.
Zi couldn't help but laugh at the Poseidon kid's accent. She always found accents funny. She nodded respectfully at the Dryad's daughter. As a daughter of Demeter, Zi had respect for her. Their mothers worked mighty closely. "Nice to meet all of you," Zi said brightly. Her brown almond shaped eyes shone with anticipation. "I am An Ziyi, and as it is in fact Asian, my first name is Ziyi, but I'd prefer to be called Zi."
Claire shied away from the people surrounding her. She didn't exactly enjoy crowds. They reminded her of the cruelty of her stepfather. Although Claire was uncomfortable around all the people, she wanted to be accepted by them. Not the place, she told herself. Claire grasped the star-charmed pen. She would be ready for the game. Claire, however, was not going to take charge of her team. They would expect her too, but she was good just following along... "My name is Claire Nardozzi, my father is Zeus..." She flushed lightly at the mention of her father. Claire was proud to be his daughter, but also a little embarrassed.... She felt like other's would place her on a pedestal, Claire didn't enjoy being the center of attention...

Mia listened to her other team-mates introduce themselves silently. Demarco is the one with the brown hair and no shirt, Aspen is the girl with the curly brown hair, Cameron is the blonde boy with the Southern accent, Zi is the Asian girl, and Claire is the blonde girl. She noted, telling herself to be sure not to mix them up. (Which she hopefully wouldn’t) She had turned and smiled at Claire when she shielded away from everyone, She’s a little shy it seems, That’s not what I would expect from the daughter of Zeus. Well, that’s why one shouldn’t assume things about people. She then turned back to the others, “I’m Mia Black, Daughter of Nyx. It’s nice to meet you all.” She introduced herself, it was hard to keep her nervousness out of her voice. Word Count: 156 Muse : Awful

Demarco judged them all on their greetings and he realized something, he wasn't dealing with warriors. None of these people shared any connection to their ancestors, they were all very modern or extremely timid and this was odd for him. He grew up around the tough and these people were defiantly not them. He shrugged though, he might be surprised... or he might not but that didn't matter a soldier used whatever tools he was given to the best of their abilities.
He shivered softly finally realizing how cold it was outside in just sandals and shorts. He had the rush of a competition running through his blood earlier and even a little practice but now standing here without any sort of rush made him fidgety.
He pulled out one of his training spears and began to draw a generalized map of the field in the snow. Feeling that no one would jump up with a plan anytime soon he decided to speak up putting on his in charge voice making it sound a bit more serious and rough “We have no idea where the flag is so Zi, Mia, and Aspen since all three of you are adapted to travel through the forest or in your case Mia through the shadows.” He pointed to three then circled the areas where they would search “will that be enough to give you your powers Mia?” he looked at her as a solider would look at another soldier. He waited for her to respond before continuing as well as letting the whole plan set into the heads of everyone, waiting for any questions or contributions.

Zi grinned at her assigned mission. She was a scout, and she would every plant in her arsenal that she could. The trees would probably be little to no help. They were biased and helped only themselves. The moss might help, same with undergrowth. Zi nodded to he Ares camper who was taking charge. "Will do, and you can count on me," Zi proclaimed with exitement.
Cameron was a little bummed that he wasn't placed on the offense, but he didn't assume he would be. Cameron knew where he belonged in this game, and he didn't need anyone to tell him so. As a son of Poseidon, Cameron was designed to hold the River Border. The water of the river was his domain, and where he was most powerful. "I reckon y'all want me down at the river..."
Claire couldn't help but snort at the Ares kid. Granted she herself didn't want to take charge, but she wasn't sure how much she was looking forward to taking orders from an air-head like him. "And I assume the rest of us will be playing defense..." Claire said, her voice rich with acid. She didn't want to lay lw and wai for everyone to come to her...

Carwyn rolled his eyes with a certain exaggeration at Cameron's glare, folding his arms over his chest restlessly as he tried to match a name for each face. If redneck fishboy couldn't take a joke, then fishboy couldn't take a joke - that was that, and it probably wouldn't change any time soon. "'Merlot' like the wine..." he mumbled under his breath to himself when the son of Poseidon gave his name, fingers drumming impatiently. The half-dryad's would be easy to remember (he wouldn't call that a 'wicked sense of humor' so much as cruelty), as well as Zi's. 'Demarco' wasn't exactly a common name, just as aggressive as its owner, but the two girls... 'Black' he could remember, as that seemed to be a primary color in her outfit. "I'm Carwyn Callas, son of Aphrodite." He'd added hastily before Demarco had spoken, but then was content to stay quiet while the others chipped in comments. "Sounds good to me." The blonde said, uncharacteristically careless, after Claire had her venomous say; with Cameron at the river, it'd be unlikely that the other team would come anywhere close to the flag, and benchwarming sounded pretty appealing right about now.

A maiden Fair, In Despair, Once had met, Her True Love there, And she told Him….. _________________________________________________________ She watched as everyone stated their names and their heritage, feeling rather envious of some. She gave a sigh and tried to place names with faces, something she was never good at. Demarco was the bossy one, and seemed to be a natural leader. She really didn't seem to like him as a person thus far, though she could tolerate him. There was Claire, who seemed to be like some of the trees in that she was shy, the one that was being teased by the feminine guy who came sauntering in last, for that was how she could put it. She heard his name and realized that the son of Aphrodite's name was very similar to the child of the Sea Gods, which would most definitely confuse her. Zi and Mia's names were the easiest to remember, and most likely for her the easiest to put face to name. Zi shared somewhat the same heritage as her in a way, and Mia, well, the name rolled off the tongue rather easily.
When the hot head started giving orders, and assigned her to a certain area she spoke up, saying, "I know you hadn't gotten here till after I had stated this, but I'll repeat it for your benefit. I have the trees on our side of the river, all of them, on scouting duty. I can feel them when they say that there is an intruder in the forest, and well, I could tell when all of you who weren't here before me came up. It would be much easier for those who are placed here if I stay here, just to let you know." she finished her statement looking down at him from her perch with a matter of fact tone, she added as an after thought, "I suppose that they could be used to trap some as well, though I don't know how happy they'll be about it." She shrugged and waited for him to finish his battle plans, almost glad that someone had taken over, though she wasn't to impressed with the way he had done so, just barging in, Though it wasn't like she ws going to come up with anything. _________________________________________________________
